Land O’Lakes Purina Feed LLC has implemented a voluntary product recall of some of its horse feeds due to possible aflatoxin contamination. The recall involves feeds manufactured at three of its plants during specific dates. Those plants and dates are:
Statesville, N.C., between Nov. 3, 2007 and Feb. 8, 2008.
Harrisburg, Penn., between Jan. 1, 2008 and Feb. 8, 2008.
Guilderland, N.Y., between Jan. 1, 2008 and March 10, 2008.
All dealers who purchased any of the recalled products directly from Land O’Lakes Purina Feed LLC have been notified. These dealers are located in the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
To date, Land O’Lakes Purina Feed LLC hasn’t received any confirmed aflatoxin-related animal health complaints.
