I vote January. It’s not about riding, (neither English or Western riding), but the power and beauty of the horse itself.
I thought the april one was nice. Great slide!
I voted for January, but I think HI does a great job with all its photography!
Just saw PKL’s comment – ditto!
My favorite cover of 2015 has to be April with the gorgeous palomino and Mandy McCutcheon. They not only look great on the cover but seeing a reining champion that is a woman sends such a positive message into the world. I love it!
I voted for August, I’m new to gaited horses, and have a Rocky Mountain horse. I love the breed, she is so gentle and laid back. I’m always interested in learning more about this wonderful breed.
REALLY hard to choose a favorite — they are all so good!
Interesting! I hope that everyone’s Saturday is going both great and safe!
I love the picture of the Rocky Mountain horse and the young girl riding.
The horse is picture perfect and the rider looks so relaxed and enjoying herself. Both the horse’s mane and the rider’s hair is blowing in the wind. I can almost feel like I’m on that ride with them.
Great photography – captured everything!!
AUGUST EVERYONE! The horse, the girl, everything is perfect. It looks way more professional and put together. The joy on her face is pure, happy and excited. Truly beautiful. She seems totally in control and would make me want to buy this issue over any other. If this cover doesn’t win, this magazine is crazy. They should use her in many more covers too! Wish i could ride along side her!
I voted for August because I love the happy look of the rider and horse. I also love the temperament of the Rocky Mountain/Kentucky Mountain horses. Us baby boomers need to be riding this kind of horse, no bounce, in your pocket calm personality, and not too big to enjoy trail riding mounting and dismounting.
