Trooper, Adoptable Horse of the Month

Trooper is a 21-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. A sweet soul with the ground manners of a gentleman, Trooper is well behaved for farrier, vet and a nice companion to his pasture mates.

Though Trooper is beginner safe on the ground, he is best suited to a confident advanced beginner or intermediate rider as he can be forward. He wears front shoes and was surrendered as he couldn’t keep up with younger horses on long distance rides. His ground-covering walk and pace are butter smooth under saddle. On the longe line he has a trot that a dressage horse would envy, but has not offered a trot under saddle. If you’re looking for a sweet natured horse with a bit of pep in his step to join you on casual trail rides, Trooper is your your guy!
