Ballaghmor Class, a 17-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding, is owned by Karyn Shuter, Angela Hislop, and Val Ryan. Townend praised the horse, calling him "phenomenal" after their win.
U.S. rider Buck Davidson, on Sorocaima, finished fourth overall and claimed the Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue Trophy for the highest placed American Thoroughbred.
Of 23 starters, only eight completed the 5* competition. Three rider falls and one horse-and-rider fall were reported, but all participants were unharmed.
Sharon White and Jaguars Duende won the CCI3*-L division, finishing on a score of 29.6. She praised the event, calling the atmosphere "unreal and special."
