Adoptable Horse: Catipari, a 6-year-old 16.1hh Thoroughbred gelding Organization: Second Stride, Prospect, Ky.
A 6-year-old Thoroughbred gelding bred in Kentucky, Catipari is by Gio Ponti (a son of Tale of the Cat) and out of Bank Candy, by Banker’s Gold. He last raced on February 22, 2024, and retired sound. Second Stride is not aware of any injuries, but he does have an allergy to banamine.
Catipari is a stunning gelding with a kind demeanor. He has been well behaved on the ground while he has been at Second Stride; however, he has been known to bite and kick. He was good for the vet and seems to be an overall well mannered horse. He walks respectfully to his stall and field; Second Stride has not noticed any vices. He was good for grooming and seemed to enjoy the attention.
Catipari has a lovely gait while trotting through the field and under saddle. He is forward with his trot and canter and listens well to queues.
He should be suitable for any discipline. A pre-purchase exam is recommended for an athletic career.
