Welcome to Horse Illustrated’s weekly installment of the Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week, offered in partnership with the ASPCA’s Right Horse program. This week’s adoptable horse is Espresso! Check back weekly for a new featured horse so you can find your Right Horse.
Adoptable Horse: Espresso, a 4-year-old 15.1hh Thoroughbred gelding
Organization: Win Place Home, Inc., Canyon Country, Calif.
This week’s adoptable horse, Espresso, is a very sweet and mellow off-the-track Thoroughbred. Espresso broke his left front fetlock and had an arthrodesis surgery performed at the beginning of 2022 to stabilize the joint with a plate and screws. As a result of his injury, he is looking for a non-riding therapy program or companion home.
Espresso enjoys being groomed, hanging with his people friends, and being a part of something. Even though he is young, there is an old soul within him that understands how to speak deeply.
