FEI World Equestrian Games

The FEI World Equestrian Games involve eight international equestrian disciplines in a group of world championships held at one event every four years. It is governed by the International Equestrian Federation (Fédération Equestre Internationale, or FEI). This two-week-long event covers combined driving, dressage, endurance, eventing, para-dressage, reining, show jumping, and faulting. Various host cities around the world put on the event. Hundreds of horses and riders compete for both team and individual medals. The event is run similarly to the Olympic Games, including with an opening and closing ceremony.
