Deworming the Difficult Horse: Most horse owners know that a parasite control
program is an essential part of equine management, but not all horses
cooperate. This course offers advice on correctly and safely deworming horses
that put up a challenge when it’s time to administer dewormer.

Introducing a New Horse to the Herd:
This course explains the best procedures to use
when introducing a new horse to the herd to avoid injury and spread of illness.
Gives an explanation of quarantine and vaccination procedures when dealing with
a horse with an unknown history and how it differs from introducing a horse
with up-to-date vaccinations.

Equine Herpes Virus:
This course explains the different strains of
EHV, the symptoms of each, treatment and prognosis of an infected horse and
prevention strategies.

Know Your Enemy:
This course gives an overview of the most common
intestinal parasites found in horses in North America. Learn the parasite lifecycle and how each species is transmitted to the horse, as
well as what chemical classes are effective against each.

Parasite Control for Boarded Horses:

Equine Influenza: How to recognize symptoms of equine influenza, how it can be treated and how to prevent it. This course explains risk factors for infection and vaccination strategies.
