I felt this way at the end of last year. I had a 9 year old gelding that was green broke but because i am not a trainer, i thought he was crazy. Just as i found a taker for him, something inside me said not to and we have been working on trust ever since. He is a new horse and i have learned so much from him. So glad i didnt sell my saddle, and great to know i am not alone
Great article... and I was chuckling throughout the read as I kept thinking -She is ME! I am the ultimate what-if gal - the TIMID rider and timid at many things that I am not good at. I have a very low pain tolerance and, of course, get stiff and nervous if something gets my horse nervous and then the two of us are in big trouble. Thanks for the wonderful article and I sold MY saddle and horse and then bought another saddle last year that is just like my old saddle. Still no horse yet... but maybe one day again.
This so resonated with me! So many times I have thought of selling my horse because I never felt good enough. Thank you for helping me to put it into perspective. ?
