UGH!!! I am glad I do not have a trainer. Trouble the way "I" see it, is that people do not have their own place/barn/pasture, so they are not there with their own horse to really get to know their own horse. You have to learn to know how to do things, afterwards, let a experienced horse person give you tips or tell you what would better.
