The article is great . . . BUT . . . hard to read the little tiny lettering under the hosre's pictures . . . not well presented.
I know 2 ex racehorses, and there very nice!! They take a little extra patience, but great horses! Loved the article!!!!!!!!
Great job!!! These horses have to grow up fast and lead difficult race lives. So glad to see people appreciating and training these wonderful horses. They deserve a second chance at life. Thanks to you all. I also have an ex-race horse who was trained in dressage. He is now 22 years old and I love him so much. He has taught several young girls to ride.
I am so happy that people keep helping all these TB's to find new homes. I bought two straight off the track and although there have been issues arise, the horses and I worked through them together and now they are lovable "ponies" that my family enjoys immensely.
I adopted an ex racer, and he's my best friend! He is smart, willing, and really athletic, but more than that - he loves me because he never had a real home before. He had a different owner every year, and different jockeys riding him. He hadn't had a person to bond with!! Its great to give a horse a second chance!
Is this horse right for me? My mothers Friend is getting rid of a horse. He is a Thoroughbred, 7 years old, bay, 17 hands. He has raced ones and showed ones. She dose not have room for him were she is going to move and she dose not ride him as much as she yoost to. I have been riding for two and almost 3 years. I know how to ride very well the only thing i do not know how to do is gallop. ( never tried )I have also raced in a 2 by 2 point race( for fun ), and hill topped he might need to do that. I would just trail ride him and ride in the ring. Not for money or a prize. I just won't to ride for fun. To have him as a friend. Should i get him? oh, my ridding teacher is going to ride him and see what she thinks than me. Is this horse right for me?
