Great Article! You can also band a horses mane with a tool called a Band-It. You can get it at Valley Vet.com. It works so... good. Belive me! And its cheap and fast!
I've done braiding but never banded a mane before because I wasn't sure how to do it right. Thanks for a great article! I feel braver now.
Great article...now if I could just get my yearling to stand still while I work on it...lol...Thanks!
helpful!
Good article- but banding is a skill that takes a lot of practice. The sleepwear hood at the end is adorable.
great info! now i just need to practice
To get them to lay flatter after pulling the hood off before you show-- take a small piece from the bottom of the band and pull down while holding the rubber band itself. It should tighten the hair down next to the neck. I have transformed a whole mane's look by doing this (helpful especially for the horses that have rubbed overnight).
Great tips!
great tips. this will be very helpful.
