Have done everything recommended here on to have the truck drop the tow package. There was no warning sign visible. Need to look under truck for rotting supports of the hitch. Luckily our trailer dropped in the driveway at a low rate of speed. No emergency call was needed. But would have been lucky to have live horses if it would have happened on the highway.
