It’s been announced that the rare Nokota horse will be the featured breed at this summer’s Breyerfest. The annual model horse extravaganza, which melds collectible horsekeeping with real-life equines, will be held in July at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. Breyer has also commissioned a special model of a blue roan Nokota stallion. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the model will go directly to the Nokota Horse Conservancy to help protect and sustain the endangered breed. Nokotas are a fascinating bredd! I commend Breyer for giving them this exposure and helping raise both breed awareness and funds for these unique animals.
