Road to the Horse is an event that combines a horse lover’s paradise (translation: trade show), horsemanship clinics and a unique competition among a trio of renowned natural horsemanship practitioners. It all takes place March 3-4 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
For the main event, Clinton Anderson, Stacy Westfall and Chris Cox will tame three virtually untouched young American Quarter Horses in front of a stadium crowd. Each clinician will demonstrate their unique way of gentling a colt and preparing it to be ridden and negotiated through an obstacle course. The entire process will be judged, giving bragging rights to the eventual winner. Sound interesting? You can watch even without a ticket, thanks to a pay-per-view webcast hook-up.
“We’re excited to know people all over the world can log on and see Clinton Anderson, Stacy Westfall and Chris Cox live as the event unfolds,” organizer and manager Tootie Bland says. “We know many people want to see the event however possible. We currently have a waiting list of more than 800 and one lady told us she’s driving 7 hours to do anything to get a ticket. Having the webcast will help us introduce, educate and entertain people around the world—whether or not they are able to find a ticket.”
The webcast will be available for $25 per computer connection and will show the two-day event in its entirety. Computer users with a high-speed connection may log on to www.roadtothehorse.com for complete purchasing and download instructions.
