Bull and Bronc riders are crazy tough! but they are not Cowboys; a Cowboy is a guy who works, lives, and swears for the brand he rides for. Who is out there day and night, snow or sun working and pouring sweat and blood for the brand. It bugs me when people consider a rodeo freak that trys to make a living by riding a bull is called a Cowboy; that is demeaning to the real deal! =) i have a huge amount of respect for anyone who can ride a Bull or Bronc though; I'd love the Ranch in Wyoming =)
It bugs me, too, that the real cowboy jobs (i.e., roping, cutting, driving cattle etc) are not even part of this competition! Whle riding bucking broncs and bulls is a tough sport, it really has very little to do with being a cowboy. Call the show something else!
I agree with gresa and rae. I was also wondering who would donate a ranch to the winner of the show and would they be able/know how to do the real cow work involved-not just bronc and bull riding.
