If you are a senior in high school or an undergraduate college student pursuing a career in equine publishing during the 2007-2008 school year, you may be eligible to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the American Horse Publications annual seminar. The contest is designed to increase awareness of the equine publishing industry in the college community.
The seminar offers:
-A broader awareness of the size, scope and importance of this specialized publishing field, and the service it provides for North America’s huge equine industry.
-The ability to meet, mingle and participate with publishers, editors, advertising, production and circulation managers. Participate in workshops, interactive discussions, lectures and informal get-togethers. This eye-opening seminar informs and enlightens attendees about the opportunities available to, and skills needed for, someone interested in pursuing a career in equine publishing.
-An opportunity to discuss talents and potential with the men and women who do the hiring. Conversely, those men and women will be evaluating and appraising you as a possible future staff member.
The winner receives:
-A cash award of $1,000, plus an all-expense-paid trip to the AHP Seminar to be held June 19-21, 2008 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The winner will also receive an all-expense-paid trip hosted by Publishers Press to one of their Two-Day Customer Education Seminars in Louisville, Ky., to learn the printing process.
