Online Auction Benefits Stolen Horse International

Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com, opened its doors to a preview of donated items up for auction on November 28, 2009. The auction was to continue for seven days but has now been extended due to new items arriving daily for the annual fundraising event from horse professionals and companies across the US.

“I would like to thank everyone who has donated items to the auction,” say Debi Metcalfe, founder of the nonprofit organization. “Especially in this time of recession, the money raised from our auction is greatly needed and for continuing our victims services and educational programs.”

Helping missing horses and horse owners is a year-round effort of Stolen Horse International. Each year the nonprofit’s live e-Bay auction, which takes place during the holiday season serves as a major fund-raising event that helps generate the monies needed to achieve its mission.

All proceeds from the auction will help fund the continued operation of Stolen Horse International. This nonprofit is the only one of its kind, providing horse theft education, along with prevention and recovery aides for missing horses, tack and equipment through its website and public speaking engagements.

Stolen Horse International is still seeking premium live auction items. Contributors to the auction will receive an ad on NetPosse.com’s auction page and through electronic mediums during the event and other mediums following the event. More donations are continuously being added. To donate, click here.

Stolen Horse International, a 501(c)(3) organization, was incorporated in 2003 with a mission to bring attention to a major crime against horse lovers – horse theft. The mission of SHI is to provide comprehensive awareness programs regarding missing horses tack and equipment to all facets of the horse industry and offer educational opportunities for horse enthusiasts of all types and across all disciplines.
