I volunteer at Saddle Pals. Not only is it spiritually rewarding, it looks great for applying to colleges. There's not enough volunteers out there--see what you can do to help out!
The Equestrian Aid Foundation assists horsemen and equine related professionals who are suffering from illnesses or injuries. Fundraising events are held during some popular horse shows, but their are other ways to volunteer too. Or become a member and provide much needed funds to lend a helping hand to those who share your passion for horses. http://www.equestrianaidfoundation.org or find us on Facebook and Twitter.
The few hours I spend at SMILES {www.smiles.nu} in Darien,Wisconsin is so rewarding I can't believe all the feel good moments shared with the chidren, horses, staff and other volunteers. If there's something missing in your life finding just a little time in your day to give back in some way is priceless and it truly doesn't cost a thing.Enjoy the journey.
Sounds great. And if there are no charities in your area, try helping out a neighbour who needs a hand!
