New Horse Expo scheduled for February in Pomona, California

Horse enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that Horse Expo Events is presenting a brand new and exciting expo in Pomona, California on February 2-4, 2012 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) at the Fairplex, southern California’s event and entertainment center and home of the Los Angeles County Fair.

“Our team’s enthusiasm for this new event is really awesome,” says event founder Miki Cohen. “We’re going to have a festive, attendee-involved expo, with a huge variety of outdoor exhibits and performances, and of course buildings full of vendors to satisfy the shopping desires of all horse owners. The whole environment will be energetic and entertaining, highlighted by horses everywhere. And one of the first decisions we made was to have this three-day show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday so everyone can stay home and enjoy Super Bowl Sunday!

“It’s fairly obvious to the horse world that we’re holding this expo on the same dates as Equine Affaire has for a decade,” comments Cohen. “As most people know, Equine Affaire has decided to not hold their event in California any longer. We certainly honor everything Equine Affaire has done for horse lovers over the years, and our hat is off to Eugenia Snyder and the Equine Affaire staff for their event at this location. I am so pleased that Horse Expo Pomona will continue to bring the finest education and entertainment to the horse-loving crowd that has consistently flocked to Pomona.”

This recent business decision has kicked the Horse Expo Events team into high gear — nothing new to this dynamic group that also presents the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento each year for the past 13 years. The walls of the Horse Expo office are plastered with charts for clinician suggestions, vendor reservations, media plans, entertainment ideas, breed presentations, competition possibilities — all the ingredients that will make this new event a stunning success. “We’re hitting the ground running!” laughs Cohen.

“Horse people are always anxious for new information about training and riding their horses, along with education about horse health, tack, boarding, safety — you name it. It’s our goal to present as many educational topics and varieties of performances and demonstrations as possible. This is going be fun!,” comments Cohen.

The list of clinicians, daily program and vendors is far from being complete, but the event’s website www.HorseExpoEvents.com will be launched son (keep checking!) and will be updated on a regular basis to keep people informed and enthused about this expo.
