38 years after Secretariat’s historic Triple Crown victory, his fans are still celebrating his memory. This year marks the fourth annual Secretariat Festival to be held at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds in Paris, Ky.
Admission to the festival is free. Visitors will be able to tour Claiborne Farm, where Secretariat is buried, meet his owner Penny Chenery, view historic race videos and watch the 2010 Disney movie about Secretariat.
Friday, September 23
