The finalists for the 2013 PagePlay Equestrian Social Media Awards (ESMA) have been announced, and HorseChannel.com is one of ten organizations in the running for category 27: Best Use of Social Media in North America. The winners will be determined by scores based 75% on the judging panel’s determination and 25% on user voting.
The ESMAs were launched in 2010 to recognize professional riders and horse-industry businesses that showed exceptional use of social media. Equestrians and horse fans submitted nominations, and the top 10 from each category went on to the finals. The first ESMAs were awarded in 2011, and the program has since become an annual online event.
Originally, finalists were selected in categories two geographic categories: United Kingdom/Ireland and International. With an overwhelming number of nominations, awards are now divided into a dozen geographic categories as well as by type. This year’s awards roster includes 34 categories.
Visit equestriansocialmediaawards.com/finalists to vote for your favorites before the close of the voting period on Feb. 8. The virtual awards ceremony will be available to view on YouTube so that every member of the worldwide equestrian community can attend.
