Win an equestrian helmet, body protector or iPad Mini from Riders4Helmets

This month, the popular helmet awareness campaign Riders4Helmets.com is celebrating its three-year anniversary by way of a monumental giveaway. Lucky equestrians could win one of 34 helmets, which have a combined value of approximately $10,000, a Charles Owen Body Protector, or the highly sought after iPad Mini Cellular + WiFi.



“In recognition of our three-year anniversary we wanted to do something really special to thank the many equestrians who have supported the Riders4Helmets campaign,” said Lyndsey White, Riders4Helmets founder. “The campaign has grown bigger than we ever could have imagined, and we are proud to know that it has made a difference in the lives of many people around the globe.”

The helmet giveaway is open to legal residents of the USA and Canada, while the iPad Mini giveaway is global and open to equestrians in any country. Equestrians may register for the giveaway by visiting Riders4Helmets.com. The registration closes midnight EDT on Sunday, May 26th, 2013. Winners of the helmets will be randomly selected from all entries received from USA and Canadian residents, while the winner of the iPad Mini will be randomly selected from all entries received location.

The Riders4Helmets campaign has rapidly gained the support of equestrians around the globe. Over 700 equestrian retailers globally participated in International Helmet Awareness Day in 201and the campaign has also hosted four Riders4Helmets Safety Symposia. Plans are already in the works for International Helmet Awareness Day 2013, and an International Equestrian Safety Conference Riders4Helmets Safety Symposium, both to be held fall 2013.

Riders4Helmets was founded in early 2010 after Olympic dressage rider Courtney King Dye was seriously injured in a riding accident. King Dye, who remained in a coma for a month following her accident, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, and is still undergoing rehabilitation.

  • Most people don't think they need to wear one, but it will be that one time they wish they had one on. A friend of my parents was practicing roping one Sunday and his horse spooked and he fell off and hit his head. He was in a coma and eventually died. You just never know. I would love to have a helmet.
