2014 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event and Kentucky Reining Cup

The 2014 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event takes place from April 24-27 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. The Kentucky Reining Cup and Freestyle World Championship runs in conjunction with Rolex, and this year will serve as a team selection event for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy. In what has become almost an expected ending at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, Great Britain’s William Fox-Pitt show jumped a clear round to clinch the win. He also won the event in 2010 and 2012, and is now tied with Kim Severson (USA) for a record three wins each in North America’s only four-star event, the highest level in the sport of eventing.

Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event: Dressage Concludes
On a cold, windy, and sometimes-rainy day that spooked many of the horses, fan favorites Allison Springer and Arthur jumped into the lead following the dressage phase at the 2014 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. Though he is widely known for his spooky antics, the 15-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding kept a lid on it today and showed the type of spectacular, accurate test Springer knows he is capable of.

Are You Ready for Some Reining?
The Kentucky Reining cup is happening April 25-27 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, in conjunction with the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. A total of 35 horses were accepted for FEI Open competition after being presented for inspection and jogged for soundness in front of the ground jury and veterinary representatives.

Reining Team Selection Trial for 2014 WEG Scheduled for April
The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), HorsePower, Inc. and Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) have announced that the Adequan/USEF Open Reining National Championship will be held as part of the Kentucky Reining Cup. This event is being run in conjunction with the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by Land Rover, April 24-27, 2014 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. The Reining championship will also serve as the Selection Trial for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games U.S. Reining Team.
