I, a female, raised and trained a horse all except for breaking her. When I sold her she threw the male who tried to ride her and has never given her woman rider a minutes trouble. I said from the beginning she needed to belong to a girl. She was a Dash for Cash mare and just needed a calm hand.

Studies have been done for over 50 years, TIME MAGAZINE has printed many of the studies and results. Clearly stating from every study that all animals prefer women for many reasons. More likely to speak their language, prefer the female voice, touch and on and on.

Women are less inclined to be intimidating and I think the horse recognizes the softer, kinder approach.

My horse seems to like girls better but of course only a few guys have ever ridden him. Haha he will be a brat either way 🙂

My horses prefer me over my husband….of course it helps, because I have all the treats….hee, hee, (he will never know I cheat)
