Do you know an individual or organization whose work has had a positive impact on the horse industry? Now is the time to nominate them for the American Horse Publications (AHP) 2017 Equine Industry Vision Award.
Nominees can include those who have contributed to a single outstanding achievement or those who have made an ongoing contribution to the equine industry. They do not have to be an individual or organization from within the horse world, but their work needs to, in the words of AHP, “have created paradigm shifts in the perception of the industry.”
Through their achievements, nominees should show the following qualities.
If you know an individual or organization who deserves this honor, read the guidelines here, then fill out the nomination form here.
The deadline for nominations is February 6. Four finalists will be selected by the Equine Industry Vision Nomination Committee, and the American Horse Publications Board of Directors, along with a representative of award sponsor Zoetis, will make the final selection. The winner will be notified in April and be publicly announced at the AHP Seminar in June.
Recent past winners of the Equine Industry Vision Award include NRHA commissioner Gary Carpenter, Equine Guelph Director Gayle Ecker, therapeutic riding organization PATH, Intl, and the Equine Land Conservation Resource.
