The American Horse Council (AHC) wants to hear about your favorite riding trail. It might end up spotlighted as the Featured Trail on the new recreation page on the AHC website, www.horsecouncil.org. Most recently, the AHC selected the Larkin State Park Trail in Connecticut as the first AHC Featured Riding Trail. Suggested by the Connecticut Horse Council, the Larkin State Park Trail is an 11-mile wildlife corridor. The scenic and historic area was dedicated by the late Charles Larkin to the State of Connecticut as a designated State Bridle Trail.
To nominate your favorite trail, submit the following information to KMcColaugh@horsecouncil.org: the name and location of your favorite bridle path, a website that features the trail or photos that illustrate its appeal, and a short paragraph (100 words maximum) that reveals why you think this particular trail should be chosen.
