More Thoroughbreds on the Way

Based on the reports of mares bred filed with the Jockey Club for this past spring, it’s projected that 37,500 Thoroughbred foals will be born in North America in 2008. That’s equal to the projected foal crop for 2007. Thoroughbreds are the third most popular breed in North America according to annual registration records. American Quarter horses are first, followed by American Paint horses.
