Chance to Learn the Cowgirl Way

Ever wish that there was some sort of classroom experience where you could perfect your cowgirl skills? Well, Cowgirl U is being offered through the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth, Texas. The current course is Cowgirl 101, scheduled for Saturday, April 14. The all-day program is designed to educate those who may not be familiar with the western lifestyle but are up for an adventure. Participants will learn basic horsemanship, rope handling, leather tooling and chuck wagon cooking. The busy day will also include a trail ride, a workshop on cowgirl gear and tack and an opportunity to shape an authentic palm leaf hat. For more information on this particular course, or to see what else the museum has in the way of exploring the cowgirl way, visit www.cowgirl.net.
