If they want to make things safer then they should make the jumps smaller that way the horses are not getting hurt and don't have just water on the other side. I just think that horses should be able to see what they are jumping that's me but other people see's different.
This sounds like a very productive discussion in progress, but I would like to see more emphasis on rider AND horse licensing. Perhaps there should really be a very strict process of education for both that can be enforced worldwide! So much in this sport is a matter of experience, and the more unified the experiences horses and riders can make around the world, the more easily accidents can be avoided...
