If you’re a professional or amateur photographer who likes capturing the ideal image of the horse, then you are invited to enter the “Online Photography Contest” sponsored by the Equine Photographers’ Network. This contest is your chance to show your talent in capturing images that exemplify the equine ideal to the world!
The deadline for entries is March 5. Winners will be announced April 21 and will be recognized on the contest website, www.equinephotocontest.com.
Equine Photographers’ Network will be awarding ribbons to first through sixth place finishers and prizes will go to the top three placing photos in each of seven contest categories, as well as a Best of Show award in both the Professional and Amateur divisions. This contest will also feature two People’s Choice Awards, where the public is invited to cast their vote for their favorite photo from the Professional and Amateur divisions.
Images will be judged by professional equine photographers based on: impact, equipment expertise, technical/artistic expertise, light and color, subject matter, creativity and suitability. Images should be submitted in a digital format as per guidelines found on the contest’s website.
The official rules and entry form are available online at www.equinephotocontest.com. View results from previous contests at www.equinephotocontest.com/winners.asp. Good luck!
