John Henry, the legendary Thoroughbred racehorse who was euthanized October 8 at the age of 32, will be remembered at a memorial service at 2 p.m., Oct. 19 (EST) at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Hall of Champions. The public is invited to attend.
John Henry’s final resting place is near his paddock at the Hall of Champions. Other Thoroughbred champions buried at the park include Man o’ War, War Admiral, Forego, Bold Forbes, Allez France, Peteski and Jay Trump.
Parking for service attendees will be in the Park’s main lot. Allow at least 15 minutes to get to the Hall of Champions. Park officials will provide golf cart shuttles for those who are unable to walk.
