Really well explained! It makes it easier when its written out in steps: "ask, show, and tell". I think more riders need to read and follow this. You see to many equestrians these days skipping the ask and show steps and going straight to the tell step. Really good article!
Iv'e always been tuaght "Quiet hands make quiet horses". To many people now days are very rough with thier hands when they don't need to be. Yes it is neccessary to discipline horses, but at certain times and certain methods is this done....jerking the horse in the face solves nothing and eventually results in a horse dumping it's iggnorant rider. GREAT artical!
Loved this article adn it was so easy to understand. One thing I'd add to it, a few moments of rest after the horse performed the manuver well is also a great reward.
