Most horse owners in 2015 America don’t live on a farm or make their living with their horses. Most of us spend our days in offices, labs, classrooms or retail establishments, working hard to support ourselves, our families, and the horses we love.
HorseChannel contributor Emily Bogenschutz wrote about this lifestyle in her tribute to the amateur equestrian. And today, SmartPak released a video that speaks to the worker-by-day, equestrian-by-evening-and-weekend life that so many of us lead. Your day job is important, but when the workday ends, it’s time to #haveagreatride.

And this is why I retired 2.5 years earlier than waiting till full retirement age! I want to enjoy my horses and ride every day! And I do!!!
Nothing beats coming home to my horses after a day at the office! The unconditional love they give you!
That was great and so true!!
Nothing beats time in the saddle, or just with the horses period!
Nothing beats a day in the barn, a ride on your horse, or just giving him a carrot! So, retire young and enjoy life!
Can’t beat time with your favorite partner after work, and I mean 4 legged one! Ride On!
Yep, gave up my job of 48 years for an early retirement to spend it riding everyday! Love the good life!
Nothing beats a day in the saddle! Work can be stressful, horses are a great release of that bad stress!
Only way to go! RIDE!
Nothing beats work like living and going to the barn! Of course unless you work in a barn with your equine family!
For sure, this best way to end a work day! RIDING!
