I sure hope my pony doesn't do that when I start showing dressage! The only reason she might not would be because she's too lazy to jump anything. Leave it up to the ponies to cause all the trouble!
The poor pony went where the rider was directing it...straight. And the horse was obviously not happy with the tight reins on a bit. Try bitless bridles and you're horse may respect you more:) All must remember to look where they are going first!
Looking where you want to go would have helped, and this pony needed to be worked down more before the test. Lunge that POA.
