Arguably one of the greatest modern-day show jumping horses, Hickstead reached the top levels of the Olympics, the World Equestrian Games, and the Rolex FEI Rankings before his death in late 2011. The notoriously challenging but athletically gifted stallion was ridden throughout his career by Canada’s Eric Lamaze.
