I sooooooooooooooo feel your pain! My young Oldenburg was couring well at home, complete with changes, but get him to his first few shows?? It was like he'd never seen a crossrail, let alone a line. Sigh. Enjoy Joey! I imagine he'll grow up all too soon.
While I reading this article, I thought you had actually written this about my 3 year old mare, C Me Shine! She has a curious personality- she acts laid back and has the " whatever dude" attitude, but then she gets ya. :o) But we love them!
Ha! All of this is so true. My green horse, Trulee, is so sweet and gentle. But she chews on everything. All of my tack has Trulee teeth marks now.
Thank you! I just aquired a 3 yr old filly just in from pasture. Can we say Green. So thanks for the tips.
I too wonder what ever possessed me? At 46, I have a 4 yr old mare that I bought as a weanling and a home bred 4 yr old mule that I am just starting under saddle. I do have an 11 yr old that we got for my daughter, but with all the un-do's I have to fix from his former owner I am forever training!! I think the bond you forge with them makes it all worthwhile, don't you??!!
The fun thing is when they are a stinker for you but when they have a audience they act like there the sweetest little horse :D
