i have a whole new outlook an judges now....not mean and stigy, just fustrated!love the blog cindy, keep writing!
Your blog is funny. Now I see why judges seem so tired by the end of the day. I cant blame them for wanting to go home.
Thanks so much for giving those of us in the judge's box a "voice." Those of us who have sat in the hot seat and wished and wanted the undermounted and, alas, underfunded riders to do well salute you.
I'd be considered a hard luck kid :) What you discribe as a hard luck kid I consider lucky...So what they can't afford perfect tack or a good mover of a horse. Atleast they have a horse. I show my barns' lesson horses which means I don't so nearly as good as all the girls who have there own horses. But, for me it's all about fun, not winning anyway. Some of the rabid parents who's kids own horses should look at it that way.
I would also be considered a hard luck kid. I pay for all my own shows, and neither my parents or I can pay for a big Tb or warmblood. I compete in hunters on my life savings, Palomino qh, who is a decent mover, and a nice jumper. Even if I don't win very often, it still is alot of fun!
