Oh my! They look alot alike in their jumping! I have wanted to teach my pug Cleo to jump hurdles because she loves skipping steps going up and down the stairs but I am afraid her little legs won't get her all the way over.
Cindy's sister in: When I saw the pictures of my two kids, my first thought was: Snowden's a pro ride, Sailor is a short-stirrup packer. :-)
I always set up jumps for my shepherd mix! I usually put out 2 lawn chairs with a cardboard tube between them (tubes from bolts of upholstery fabric at a craft store work great). She will jump cross-rails, verticals, oxers, and even bounce jumps! She is definately the athletic warmblood that jumps with pizazz :)
my dog refused to do it unless there was food on the other side, but thats because he knew he could walk away. My cat just looks at my like i'm stupid for even trying to get him to step over a broom stick laid on the ground....maybe he's right. :)
A few years ago me and my cousin trained our dogs to jump. at the time I was 4'6.. yes quite short. Well, we had the pole set high enough that I could walk directly under it. Sophie (my dog) and Xavier (cousins dog) BOTH cleared it multiple times... They both loved jumping and would take on any obstacle.
