I am deeply involved in the Mangalarga Marchador breed as a trainer. I currently have in training a mare that is participating in endurance rides, trail and will be competing in the Fiesta of the Spanish Horse in Burbank in May 2015. She also is in the American Endurance Riding Conference parade group, marshaled by Gayle Pena, The group has applied for the Tournanent of Roses Parade, and has been in a couple of other parades already. Because of this mare's mind, in many occasions we just entered competitions without even training for it, just relying on our horsemanship and were able to do it. We also earned the title of champion mare in the Western States for 2014, last fall in Las Vegas. It takes a very special horse to do something like that, but she is not alone, there are other Mangalarga Marchadores, within the small pool of 250 available in the U.S. that are demonstrating the extraordinary traits that make the breed . I cannot say enough about Allegria de Los Cielos and her breed. As s professional trainer I wish more horse breeders would do what the Brazilians did, in creating the Brazilian Saddle Horse, a horse born to sync with the rider phisycally with the movement and mentally with its mind.
