Welcome to Horse Illustrated’s weekly installment of the My Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week, offered in partnership with The Right Horse. Greta is this week’s adoptable horse. Check back weekly for a new featured horse so you can find your #righthorse.Photo Courtesy Heart of Phoenix
Horse: Greta, a 20-year-old 15-hand bay Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse mare in Shoals, W.Va. Organization: Heart of Phoenix
Greta is showing herself to be a competent youth-suitable, trail-ready mount. She has a smooth gait with a great cadence. Heart of Phoenix staff, where she is located, have not found her to be spooky. She is great with the farrier and loading and hauling in a trailer, and she is learning to stand at the mounting block. Her fosters absolutely love her and know you will too, so if you are looking for your next equine partner to have a smooth gait and that will do well on the trail and in the show pen, Greta could be your girl!
