Welcome to Horse Illustrated’s weekly installment of the My Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week, offered in partnership with The Right Horse. Pudge is this week’s adoptable horse. Check back weekly for a new featured horse so you can find your #righthorse.
Horse: Pudge, a 13.2-hand 12-year-old bay pony mare in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Adoption Organization: Nexus Equine
Pudge is such a sweet pony, who loves attention. She is an absolute doll to be around. Pudge is just being started under saddle and will need someone with experience starting a colt or green horse. Pudge is accepting her training very well and loves to learn! She has a handful of rides and is ready to continue her training. She would be a great candidate for just about any direction you want to take her in her training. Her ground manners are excellent! She is great for the farrier, and stands tied very well. Pudge is an extremely easy keeper and would benefit from regular exercise and a limited grain diet until she loses some of her extra pounds. She is a great pony for an experienced youth, also.
