Pico was part of a special 100-day training event. The Appalachian Trainer Face Off (ATFO) began May 15 and ended on August 22. All ATFO horses received 100 days of training with hand-selected trainers. Pico is a very classy mare with three lovely, flashy gaits. Her heart is truly in trail riding, and she can cheerfully go for days without tiring. She has gone over an overpass on multiple trail rides without faltering. She crosses water and bridges with zero issues. She has lovely ground manners and ground ties anywhere. She is wonderful for a bath and picks up her feet easily. Pico was not handled kindly prior to rescue, and she needs an adopter who is kind to her in order to build a bond with her. She is best suited for an intermediate rider as she is forward and can be intimidating to a young or unconfident rider. She is the type of horse who will come to look forward to daily interactions with her person.
