Horse: Sonora, a 17-year-old 13.2-hand sorel Paso Fino mare with partial socks on all four limbs in Palm City, FL. Organization: Equine Rescue & Adoption FoundationPhoto Courtesy of Equine Rescue & Adoption
Sonora is a stunning Paso Fino mare. She arrived at ERAF in November of 2018. Our initial focus was on building her trust and confidence. She has done extremely well under saddle and is described by her regular rider as a “puddle jumping trail horse with the right leader.” She has what her handlers affectionately call “Sonora-isms.” They have developed successful strategies for managing these “isms” and will happily share them with her adopter. Sonora will need an experienced, confident rider/handler.
