know exactly what you mean I have saddle pads that in are in the bottom of the trunk but I don't use but one of them the others were either given to me or I got for buying a saddle then I sell the saddle pad I ever got because I forgot the one the saddle came with was in the very bottom of the trunk oh well
I am currently horseless, and I still keep my first horse's halter and leadrope hanging in my bedroom. Partially for memories sake, and partially in case a horse somehow randomly shows up in the crop fields around my house...So yeah, I know what you mean.
My friend has owned horses for about 15 years and her tack room is amazing!! Whenever I need anything,(mostly Western style though) from one stirrup to a complete bridle/blanket, or one ring or extra latigo, its there. And all neatly organized. Just the other day, she was saddling up horses for a group trail ride and she realized the one saddle's stirrup leather ripped. So she went digging around in the tack room and "ye-haw" she found the perfect leather strap. And if I want to try a new bit on my horses, she dumps out her 5-gallon bucket all over the floor. Such a beautiful noise and sight it is :) And I'm happy to say....my tack room is starting to look like hers, with some extra snaffles hanging in a hook and the spare throat latches and browbands and breaststraps are starting to pile up!!! Keep on hoarding!! Never know what you might need it!!
