    About Steffen and Shannon Peters

Originally from Germany, where he began his riding journey, Steffen spent the summer of 1984 working for trainer Laurie Falvo in San Diego. The following year, he returned to Southern California to continue working for Falvo. After opening his own barn in 1991, Steffen became a U.S. citizen in 1992. Since then, he has been one of the nation’s top international dressage riders, having represented the U.S. at six Olympic Games, five FEI World Championships, and two Pan American Games.

Shannon, originally from Michigan, also began riding as a child and started her own training business when she relocated to Colorado for college. After running a successful training business there, she moved her business to Southern California in 2003 when she married Steffen. Renowned for her special connection with horses, Shannon is a Grand Prix dressage rider and a USDF Gold Medalist.
