Reining fans can catch sliding, spinning action and many of the sport’s top superstars this weekend at the 2013 Kentucky Reining Cup. Held at the Kentucky Horse Park April 26-27, the reining competition takes place alongside the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.
A field of 25 horses is set to compete after being presented for inspection and jogged for soundness in front of ground jury and veterinary representatives.
Competitors to watch at the Alltech Arena include Tom McCutcheon, Tim McQuay and Shawn Flarida, teammates on the U.S. Gold Medal World Championship team at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The star-studded field also includes Lovett, the country music legend who is entered to compete in the CRI3*.
