Watch it Again: American Pharoah Wins the Triple Crown

On Saturday, June 6, 2015, the Triple Crown drought finally ended. American Pharoah became the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win Thoroughbred Racing’s Triple Crown: The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness Stakes, and The Belmont Stakes. Watch his win in the video below.

  1. Thanks for showing it again. The most amazing thing to me was when he was trotted in front of the grandstand. If a horse could show “humility”, Pharaoh did. His eyes were remarkable, quiet and deep. I’ve been around a lot of horses, but not seen anything like that B4. A true workhorse. A great workhorse.

  2. That is one talented colt! The fact the he lost no weight in those five weeks, excellent condition, never even had to go to the whip, is a tribute to Bob Baffert. Trainer said take him to the lead and stay there, is exactly what the jockey did.
    Absolutely, thrilling race and a well deserved place in history!

I’m so happy that he won the triple crown! he did great! went to the lead first thing and stayed there the whole 1 1/2 miles! that’s amazing to me! he is my favorite thoroughbred besides Secretariat and Bold Ruler his sire and his dam Somethingroyal. way to go American Pharoah I was cheering for you all the way! so proud of you!
