The American Riding Instructors Association’s National Riding Instructors Convention will be held Dec. 2-5, 2007 in Naples, Fla. The Naples Grande Resort, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and the white sand beaches of Naples, is the location.  The mission of the American Riding Instructors Association, now in its 23rd year, is to promote excellence in the teaching of horseback riding, based on a solid foundation of knowledge, safety, and personal and professional integrity.

The convention is open to all riding instructors as well as those who want to learn more about the profession. More than 20 speakers from around the world will cover topics of interest rarely found at horse industry conventions.

The Convention is devoted to education, networking and one-on-one consultations.  Speakers will cover a wide range of topics designed to help you make your horse business a success, including examining a variety of teaching techniques, starting and running a summer riding camp, and the importance of ethics and integrity in the business.

An Awards Luncheon will be held midway through the Convention, with a special recognition ceremony for America’s Top 50 riding instructors in 2007 as the spotlight. There will also be an instructor certification test center at 9 a.m. Dec. 2.
