The Women Luv Horses retreat is educational and fun

Women Luv Horses, an educational equestrian retreat designed by Lynn Palm, proved to be an overwhelming hit with everyone involved. The event took place May 18-20, 2007, at the Cabarrus Arena and Event Center in Concord, N.C., and consisted of demonstrations, workshops, seminars, shopping from world-class vendors and live music by Templeton Thompson.  The featured clinicians were female role models in the horse industry: Cynthia Cantleberry, Martha Josey, Jane Savoie, Stacy Westfall and Lynn Palm. Spectators came from all over the country and gained positive energy from the event.

“The thing that I was most impressed with was how available all of the clinicians were to speak with us one on one between lectures. It was a great experience to be able to pick the brains of some of the top horse people in the industry about my horse questions,” attendee Carrie Lamoreaux commented.

One of the most popular highlights from the weekend was the Fashion for Fillies Show Friday night that featured clothing from Kerrits, Hobby Horse and Wrangler.  Saturday night showcased the Cowgirl Party, which sold 130 items in the silent auction and raised $14,600 for AQHA America’s Horse Cares and the Professional Horseman’s Crisis Fund.

Another attendee, Bonnie Krajnik, added, “My experience at Women Luv Horses was empowering, not only to me as a professional horse woman, but also on a personal level. I enjoyed the whole weekend.”
